Day one boards around 10:00 and sails to Kelor Island, snorkels Manjarite, and anchors off Kalong Island for the flying-fox exodus at dusk before dinner on board. Day two starts before dawn for the Padar climb, then Pink Beach, the ranger-guided dragon walk on Komodo Island, and Manta Point, sea conditions permitting.

Good to Know & Caveats
- Which fees are included depends on the booking option you select — read the option description carefully, because the cheapest option excludes some park charges.
- Itineraries are weather-dependent. Skippers reorder or drop stops when the swell between Padar and Komodo builds, and Manta Point in particular is skipped whenever the current runs too hard to snorkel safely.
- Komodo dragons and manta rays are wild animals in a national park. Rangers know where the dragons usually rest and manta season peaks December to February, but no operator can guarantee a sighting.
- One night on board means one sunrise. If you want Padar at dawn AND a full Manta Point session without rushing, the 3-day format is the one that fits both.

It was amazing. The places to visit are incredible. My group and I were very lucky and saw all the animals we were hoping to see (Komodo dragons, bats, baby sharks, manta rays, etc.). Hendrick and the boat crew took care of us, made sure we were at the sites early (before they filled up), and the boat was generally good. The meals were 11/10. Everything was very good and there was plenty.

What a trip and what a boat crew too. Accommodation was comfortable. Food was excellent and the activities were fantastic. We had a great boat trip with beautiful people and the memories of this trip will last a lifetime. We saw manta ray, dolphins, baby sharks and turtles. Thank you again to the boat crew who were very professional and couldn’t do enough for us.

This was a fantastic experience from beginning to end! I was ablse to see turtles, mantas, bats, komodo dragons, deer, baby sharks, dolphins, and about 50 types of fish including starfish. The tour guide and crew was also so kind and the food was great! There were so many amazing planned activities and information provided in clear english. Although you do stay in a shared room, it was no problem as the rooms were clean and everyone on my boat was super nice. The boat is also spacious with plenty of places to hang out and watch the stunning views. I would highly recomend this tour to those wanting to see komodo island, snorkel, and relax on the pink sand beach among many more activities!

Is one night on a Komodo boat enough?
It is enough for the thing that matters most — being anchored below Padar Island before sunrise. What it does not give you is slack: a single weather delay on day two costs you a stop, where a 3-day trip absorbs it.
What is the cabin like?
A shared cabin on a shared boat. Berths are simple, bathrooms are shared, and fittings vary by vessel. This is the entry tier — the deluxe and VIP boats on this site are where private bathrooms and reliable air conditioning start.
Are the Komodo park fees included?
Partly, and it depends on the option you book. The standard option includes the Komodo Island entrance and ranger fees; other conservation charges may still be collected separately in cash. Check the option text before paying.
Will I see manta rays?
Manta Point is on the route, but it is only snorkelled when the current allows, and mantas are wild. Sightings are common in the December-to-February peak and less reliable outside it.
