About This Experience

A 3-day, 2-night sailing on a VIP-grade boat where every cabin is air-conditioned and has its own ensuite bathroom — the specification that separates the deluxe tier from the budget open trips, and the one most travellers are actually shopping for when they search for a luxury Komodo liveaboard.

Cabins are sold as private or shared on the same sailing. Solo bookings are placed in a shared cabin; two or more travellers booking together get a private one. That makes it one of the few boats where a solo traveller can buy deluxe fittings without paying for a whole cabin.

The route takes nine destinations — Kelor, Manjarite, Kalong, Padar, Komodo Island, Pink Beach, Manta Point, Taka Makassar and Siaba. Meals, snacks, fruit, coffee and tea, a tour guide, snorkel gear, life jackets, transfers and drone, GoPro and DSLR documentation are included; toiletries and the park fee are not.

What to Bring

• Reef-safe sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat
• Swimwear and a quick-dry towel
• Light, loose clothing for the deck and closed shoes for the Padar and Komodo trails
• A dry bag for phones and cameras on the tender transfers
• Cash in rupiah for park fees, drinks and crew tips
• Any personal medication, including seasickness tablets
• A power bank — cabin sockets run off the boat's generator and are not always live

Good to Know & Caveats

• Cabin allocation is automatic: solo bookings go into a shared cabin, bookings of two or more get a private one. There is no way to buy a private cabin as a single traveller on this listing.
• Toiletries are not supplied even though every cabin has an ensuite — bring your own.
• Itineraries are weather-dependent. Skippers reorder or drop stops when the swell between Padar and Komodo builds, and Manta Point in particular is skipped whenever the current runs too hard to snorkel safely.
• Komodo dragons and manta rays are wild animals in a national park. Rangers know where the dragons usually rest and manta season peaks December to February, but no operator can guarantee a sighting.
